Maths Tutor – Secondary School – Brighton
Location: Brighton, East Sussex
Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (Flexible)
Salary: £20 - £30 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Tutor to work with students in a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school located in Brighton. This school has a strong focus on academic progress, inclusivity, and student wellbeing, with a thriving Maths department and a collaborative staff culture.
About the role:

Provide 1:1 and small group tuition in Maths, targeting KS3 and KS4 students (Years 7–11)

Support students in developing confidence and skills in mathematics ahead of assessments and exams

Sessions may take place during school hours or after school, depending on availability

Work closely with school staff to tailor tuition to individual student needs
The ideal candidate will:

Have a strong academic background in Maths or a related subject

Possess prior tutoring or teaching experience (QTS not essential but desirable)

Be confident in delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to a variety of learning styles
-
Have a current enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

Be passionate about supporting students' progress and achievement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
