Science Teacher – Tameside
A thriving secondary school in Tameside is seeking a motivated Science Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics through hands-on learning and engaging lessons.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for teaching general science at KS3 and your specialism at KS4, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of key scientific concepts. The school has excellent laboratory facilities, providing the perfect environment for practical experiments and investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver exciting and interactive science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Conduct practical experiments to bring scientific concepts to life.
- Differentiate lessons to suit all abilities, ensuring every student can achieve.
- Track and assess student progress, implementing strategies to support learning.
- Encourage scientific curiosity and independent research.
- Collaborate with the department to organise STEM-related extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent qualification in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and GCSE requirements.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that make science accessible and enjoyable.
- Passion for science and enthusiasm for developing students' scientific skills.
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
