Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join a modern secondary school in Rochdale. The ideal candidate will have a strong enthusiasm for teaching Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, inspiring students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to students of varying abilities.
  • Design and implement lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity and academic growth.
  • Use innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school activities.

Requirements

  • A degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching Science at the secondary level (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
