Job description

Are you an enthusiastic and passionate Science graduate eager to kick-start your teaching career? We are looking for a dedicated Science ECT to join our vibrant team in Rochdale this September.

As a Science ECT, you will teach dynamic and engaging Science lessons across key stages, developing young minds in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will have the chance to inspire students with the wonders of the scientific world while nurturing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The role offers excellent opportunities for personal development, with a strong focus on mentoring and support throughout your induction year.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons that encourage curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that caters to all students’ needs.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing feedback to aid improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually develop best practices in Science teaching.
  • Engage in the school’s ECT induction program, benefiting from ongoing professional development.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and science-related events.

About You:

  • You hold a degree in a Science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a combined Science degree).
  • You have a passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists.
  • You are eager to learn and grow as part of a professional team.
  • You are dedicated to making a positive impact on students' learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
