Job description

Science Teacher required on a full time permanent basis from Easter.

Are you seeking a new Science teaching position?

The Permanent Workforce team are working alongside a large Multi Academy Trust to support their recruitment for this academic year. One of their 11-18 schools situated in the Newbury area are currently looking to appoint an Science Teacher on a permanent basis from Easter.

Role: Science Teacher

Location: Newbury, Berkshire

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Start: Easter or Immediate

Salary: £31,650 to £49,084 (MPS/UPS)

The school is based in Newbury in Berkshire, which in itself is in a beautiful area of the country and provides easy access to Oxford and London. They have had two years of significant improvements in GCSE results and in 2024 attained their best results ever at both GCSE and A-Level, which shows the direction in which the school is moving.

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognised degree (or equivalent) with a good classification in a relevant subject
  • Teaching qualification (QTS)
  • Commitment to own self development
  • Ability to teach your subject area up to Key Stage 5
  • Desire to further raise overall achievement in your subject area through promoting the highest standards of teaching and learning
  • A flexible approach to the teaching of your subject that seeks to promote the learning opportunities of all students and to secure the highest possible levels of achievement
  • Good discipline/classroom management
