As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will be expected to inspire students, encourage critical thinking, and cultivate a passion for geographical studies.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality geography lessons that meet the requirements of the national curriculum.

Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged.

Assess, record, and report on student's progress in line with school policies.

Develop and implement strategies to cater to students with varying abilities and learning styles.

Encourage active participation and engagement in lessons through interactive and innovative teaching methods.

Support the development of student's geographical skills, including fieldwork and map-reading techniques.

Participate in school-wide initiatives, extracurricular activities, and field trips to enrich student's learning experiences.

Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.

Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement in line with school policies.

Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and stakeholders regarding student's progress and well-being.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.

Experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4 (experience at Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential).

A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting students of all abilities.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated teaching team.

A proactive and reflective approach to teaching, with a willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
