Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Newbury
Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025

Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in a supportive secondary school? Do you have the expertise to inspire students and help them develop a strong understanding and appreciation of science?

Our client, a well-respected secondary school in Newbury, is seeking a motivated and skilled Science Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to develop their career in a dynamic and high-achieving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 teaching opportunities may be available).

  • Inspire students in all areas of science, fostering curiosity and a love for the subject.

  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback to support learning.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and teaching strategies.

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as science clubs or trips.

  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values and ethos.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A degree in Science or a related subject.

  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4; KS5 is desirable but not essential).

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.

  • A commitment to raising attainment and ensuring all students achieve their potential.

  • A passion for Science and a desire to inspire the next generation.
