About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a vibrant mainstream secondary school in Didsbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education to students across various year groups, fostering a love for learning and encouraging scientific inquiry.
Salary:
£31,650 to £49,084 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for science.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to curriculum development and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the science field and educational practices.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching at the secondary level is preferred but not essential; NQT applications are welcome.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
