Job description

A school based in the SP5 are in need of a strong, determined and open minded educator to work within a small year 4 classroom.

Job Title:Primary Teahcer 
Location: Salisbury, UK
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £ 500 - £700 per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a varied and inclusive curriculum to help students progress.
  • Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Implement effective strategies for behaviour management to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and fellow teachers to create a collaborative and supportive school community.
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives and participate in staff meetings and school events.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress, addressing concerns and celebrating achievements.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students, following all safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Recognize and act on any safeguarding concerns, reporting to the relevant authorities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching primary-aged children (preferably Year 4).
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience with challenging behaviour.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS and on the update service.
