Job description

Job Title: PPA Teacher

Location:

North West England, Lancashire, Skelmersdale

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

Salary:

£130 - £160 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in accordance with the school's policies and guidelines
  • Plan and prepare lessons and resources for PPA cover across various year groups
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and school management
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching across different year groups
  • Knowledge of the UK national curriculum and assessment procedures

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
  • Proficient in using educational technology and resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Specialist training in specific areas of the curriculum

Working Conditions:

The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis at a school in Skelmersdale. The teacher will be required to work collaboratively with other staff members and may involve some additional responsibilities beyond regular teaching duties.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
