PPA Tecaher Needed in Nelson (BB9)

Part-time - 3 days per work 

Start date: February 2025 

End date: July 2025 (with a view to transition onto a permanent contract) 

Pay: £140 - £180 per day (before AWR comes into effect) 

The Headteacher of a reputable Two-form entry Primary School in Nelson (BB9) is on the look-out for a Primary Teacher to join their team covering PPA in their Key Stage 2 classes whilst also delivering small group interventions. The Headteacher is keen to appoint for the successful candidate to begin from April 2025  and the duration will be for 12 months. The role will be 3 days per week. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to teach within a high achieving and over-subscribed Primary School where staff are committed to excellence.

To be considered, teachers must hold UK QTS, and have a firm grasp on the Primary Curriculum. Ths successful candidate must be an excellent team player and will be required to liaise with the full-time class teachers regarding planning for the PPA sessions. The school are keen for both Fully Qualified Tecahers and Early Career Teachers to apply.

This school boasts a range of enrichment activities and extra-curricular clubs for pupils and parents are supportive of the school’s community ethos.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
