Job description
Position: Part-time Literacy Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Poulton-le-Fylde (FY6)
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Literacy Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Poulton-le-Fylde (FY6). This part-time role provides an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in a primary setting to make a positive impact by supporting students with additional needs in their literacy development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored literacy support to students in a classroom setting
- Collaborate with the teacher to plan and deliver literacy lessons
- Work with individuals or small groups of students to improve their reading and writing skills
- Monitor and assess students' progress in literacy and provide feedback
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop individualised learning plans for students
Requirements:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Previous experience working with children or young adults
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm and patient approach when supporting struggling students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
