Position: Part-time Literacy Support Teaching Assistant

Location: Poulton-le-Fylde (FY6)

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Literacy Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Poulton-le-Fylde (FY6). This part-time role provides an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in a primary setting to make a positive impact by supporting students with additional needs in their literacy development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored literacy support to students in a classroom setting
• Collaborate with the teacher to plan and deliver literacy lessons
• Work with individuals or small groups of students to improve their reading and writing skills
• Monitor and assess students' progress in literacy and provide feedback
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop individualised learning plans for students

Requirements:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Previous experience working with children or young adults
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A calm and patient approach when supporting struggling students
