Pastoral Teaching Assistant.

Are you looking for a Teaching Assistant role within the KS1/KS2 age range?

Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced Pastoral Teaching Assistant to join a busy primary school in Great Yarmouth, this role would be starting in February and has the potential to become a full time position. You would be joining this fantastic single form entry primary school which prides itself on delivering an excellent education to all pupils in an environment which is safe and fun.

You will be the schools first point of contact/liaison between families and other child agencies such as social services and child health. You will have an important role as part of the pastoral team within the school, you will be required to offer support to pupils with behavioural issues and run occasional intervention groups.

This role would be ideally suited to a Teaching assistant who has a previous experience working with SEN pupils and pupils who display challenging behaviour, you will have to be patient, hard working and have excellent communication skills with people of all ages.

The ideal candidate:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant (NVQ/CACHE or equivalent)
  • SEN experience
  • Experience working with pupils on a 1:1 basis
  • Experience supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Uk address and right to work
  • Enhancd Child workforce DBS on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
