A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Enfield, rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join their permanent staff from January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to become part of a supportive team in a school committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a love of learning in all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners.
  • Participate in department meetings, training sessions, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Support the school's commitment to creating a positive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A degree in English or a related subject.
  • Proven UK experience teaching English at secondary level, preferably with knowledge of the UK curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching English.

Desirable:

  • Experience with GCSE and A-Level English teaching.
  • A track record of achieving good or outstanding student outcomes.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching strategies and educational technology.
