HAVE YOU GOT EXPERIENCE SUPPORTING CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS OR SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL HEALTH?
A mainstream secondary school in Birmingham are seeking an individual suited to a pastoral support/behaviour mentor position to work on a full time basis supporting the most vulnerable and disengaged pupils within the school.
Teaching Personnel work incredibly closely with the school in the B37 area and have a great working relationship with the school staff.
Location: Birmingham, B37
Pay: £95-110 (per day dependent upon experience)
Hours: Full Time
Start date: ASAP
Our ideal candidate will:
- have previous experience in a pastoral or behaviour mentor role
- have experience working within schools
- have experience supporting or working with children with special educational needs or social, emotional and mental health
- be confident supporting the most vulnerable children
- work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis to achieve the best outcomes for individuals
- have great communication skills and show empathy and compassion
- have the ability to build strong relationships and provide emotional support
- Have a strong awareness of safeguarding and how to escalate these issues

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
