Pastoral Manager
Job description
Teaching Personnel are working with a trust based in Birmingham who are looking for staff to join their Pastoral team, supporting in a variety of roles inclduing Inclusion, Behaviour, Attednance and Student welfare.
The schools are looking for senior pastoral staff to join their team and start immediately on a full time basis. All the trust schools are within commutbale distance of the city centre of BIrmingham and easily accesible of the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure and deliver effective pastoral support so that individual students and groups of students are supported to actively participate in learning and reach their full potential.
- Support the raising of standards in the school by leading and delivering pastoral support to a year group of students; and within that year group by providing support to individual students and their families.
- Be responsible for managing and addressing the needs of students who need help to overcome barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential.
- Be responsible for supporting the improvement of student punctuality, attendance and behaviour and assist the school’s pastoral programme in reducing disruption and raising student achievement and progress
- Contribute to effective transition from other schools ensuring the student well-being
Requirements:
You will have:
• 5 A*- Cs at GCSE including English and Maths.
• Experience of working with young people in an education setting.
• Experience of providing pastoral support within an education setting.
• The ability to maintain positive relationships with students and other adults.
• The ability to speak in front of large groups of students and small groups of staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
