An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Nurture Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and forward-thinking team in a Abergavenny based Primary School. This full-time role offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners who require extra emotional and educational support.
About the Role
As a Nurture Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Assist in delivering the nurture curriculum, focusing on building confidence, resilience, and social skills.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where all pupils feel valued.
- Support small groups or one-to-one sessions to address specific learning needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation through structured interventions.

- Is passionate about supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Can work collaboratively as part of a team but also use initiative when needed.
- Any experience with children is valued.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
