Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact? Our education agency is seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) at a welcoming primary school in NP16.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Work closely with a Year 2 pupil, providing individualised support tailored to their learning needs.
• Assist with literacy, numeracy, and other classroom activities, adapting materials where necessary.
• Implement strategies to support engagement, positive behaviour, and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff to ensure the pupil’s progress is effectively monitored and supported.
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment to help the pupil thrive academically and socially.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience supporting children with ALN, such as ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
• Be patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about working with children.
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Hold a relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate (desirable but not essential).
