Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a Nursery based in the heart of Newcastle!

About the Role:

This role involves supporting young children aged 2-3 with daily activities in the classroom while contributing to a positive and welcoming learning environment. The nursery focuses on promoting independent learning, and the ideal candidate must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team of teachers and teaching assistants.

Using initiative will be essential, ensuring children receive the correct support while engaging in planned activities and developing key skills.

About the Nursery:

The nursery is based in NE** (Newcastle postcode) **and has a welcoming team of teachers and teaching assistants. It offers a range of engaging workstations for children to explore different activities and a spacious outdoor area for outdoor learning. If the successful candidate is a great fit, this full-time position could be extended until the end of the academic year.

Teaching Assistant Duties:

✅ Preparing the classroom and resources for daily activities.
✅ Supporting the teacher with general classroom assistance.
✅ Helping to maintain a clean and organised learning environment.
✅ Demonstrating strong communication skills and a nurturing personality.

Requirements:

Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate registered on the DBS Update Service (Teaching Personnel can assist with this).
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
Ability to provide professional references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
