Job description

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Maths Tutor to work with KS3 and KS4 students in alternative provision settings (community hubs or in the home).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach maths lessons that engage and support students.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of each student.
  • Monitor students' progress and provide feedback using TP Tutors bespoke  reporting platform.
  • Build positive relationships with students and support their academic and personal growth.
  • Work with other staff to help students overcome challenges.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience teaching Maths to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, using the UK National Curriculum.
  • Ability to support students with different learning needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate students.
  • A teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE) or the equivalent experience.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in alternative provision or with students facing additional challenges.
  • Knowledge of how to manage behaviour effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
