Maths Teacher – Specialist Short-Term Placement School
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: In line with Teacher Pay Scale
Contract: Permanent (following a successful probation period via Teaching Personnel)
Start Date: Ideally by Easter 2025

Are you a dedicated Maths Teacher looking for a role where you can make a real impact on young people’s education?

A small, specialist school in Basingstoke is seeking a committed Maths Teacher to join their team. The school provides short-term placements for pupils who are unable to attend their usual school due to medical complexities or suspensions. It offers a nurturing, supportive environment, working closely with pupils and their families to re-engage them in education and plan their return to mainstream schooling.

The Role:

  • Teaching Maths to Key Stage 4 students in small, well-supported classes.
  • Creating adaptable and engaging lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Working closely with LSAs and leadership to ensure students receive the support they need.
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment to help pupils rebuild confidence in their education.

About You:

  • A qualified Maths Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching to Key Stage 4.
  • Experience working in a SEND school or strong mainstream experience with adapting lessons for different learning needs.
  • A flexible and compassionate approach, with a commitment to supporting vulnerable pupils.
  • Resilient, patient, and dedicated to helping every student achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
