Job description

Are you passionate about numbers and eager to inspire the next generation of mathematicians? We’re looking for a dynamic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our school community in October 2024!

We are working with an outstanding secondary school which their mathematics department is known for its innovative approach and commitment to helping every student achieve their full potential in mathematics.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a degree in mathematics or a related field and a recognised teaching qualification
  • Is passionate about teaching and able to deliver engaging, effective lessons across different year groups
  • Has strong classroom management skills and a talent for making complex concepts accessible to all students
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is committed to fostering a positive learning environment where students can thrive

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons that cater to varying levels of ability
  • Assess and track student progress, providing targeted support where needed
  • Encourage a love of mathematics through creative and interactive teaching methods
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve the maths curriculum
  • Participate in extracurricular activities that enhance the students’ learning experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
