About the Role:

As a Maths teacher at this school, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 level. You will be expected to plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of all students, ensuring that each individual is supported in achieving their full potential.

Your role will involve creating a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to think critically, solve problems, and develop a love for Maths. You will also be responsible for assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and setting achievable targets to help them improve.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievements and contribute to school reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best teaching practices.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development.
  • Support the school’s ethos, values, and policies, promoting a positive school culture.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching Maths to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and the ability to adapt to new teaching methods and technologies.
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to the broader school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
