Pay: Paid to scale – starting from £166.32 per day

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Newport. This exciting opportunity begins ASAP and is expected to lead to a school contract in September 2025, offering both job security and professional growth.

Role Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

• Create a supportive and challenging classroom environment

• Develop students’ confidence and interest in mathematics

• Maintain high standards of teaching and behaviour management

• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Passion for education and student success

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Two recent and relevant references

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
