Location: Newport
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP (with potential for a permanent school contract from September 2025)
Pay: Paid to scale – starting from £166.32 per day

Role Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
-
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

Create a supportive and challenging classroom environment

Develop students’ confidence and interest in mathematics
-
Maintain high standards of teaching and behaviour management
-
Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities
✅ What We’re Looking For:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
-
Strong classroom management and communication skills
-
Passion for education and student success
-
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
-
Two recent and relevant references
-
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
