About the Role
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Leeds, to appoint a dedicated and dynamic Maths Teacher. This is a full-time position starting in September and is to cover a long-term requirement within the Maths department.
The school is praised for its inclusive ethos, high academic standards, and a supportive working environment that fosters both student and staff development. The Maths department is well-resourced and led by a forward-thinking leadership team who are committed to delivering high-quality education.
This role is ideal for a passionate Maths Teacher who is eager to make a lasting impact on students' learning and progress. ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential Key Stage 5 depending on experience).

Use a range of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Assess, monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching where necessary to ensure all learners are supported.

Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment where pupils are encouraged to excel.

Prepare students for GCSE assessments, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed.

Contribute to the wider Maths department by collaborating on curriculum development and sharing best practices.

Participate in staff meetings, CPD sessions and school events as required.

Uphold high standards of classroom behaviour and demonstrate consistent classroom management.
Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.

Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting, ideally across KS3 and KS4.

Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for mathematics education.

Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
-
A commitment to inclusive education and raising achievement for all learners.

Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
