Job description

The countdown to Summer is upon us, and so is the final push towards the end of the academic year. We here at TP-Tutors are always on the lookout for new and exciting opportunities and educators to join our talent pool. Are you a driven, logical Mathematic Teacher/Teaching Assistant who is looking for that new challenge? If you are based in Hull or the surrounding areas, we may have the opportunity you are looking for!

For this role, we are looking for Maths Tutor. As a tutor, charisma and personality are just as important as qualifications and teaching, so we need tutors who are willing to go that extra step to engage students and see that progress with each session. We want to transform these young people’s lives, and we can’t do this without you!

The pay for tutoring is £25-£30 per hour. It is desirable for the applicants to hold full UK driving licence as a selection of the pupils may need to be tutored within their home/at a local library.

Requirements for the role:

-          Professional Teaching Qualifications are preferred (Qualified Teacher Status, QTS).

-          A solid grasp of the English Language to convey themselves to students.

-          A desire to promote and encourage, as well as motivate themselves.

-          An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).

-          Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.

-          An excellent understanding of the Mathematics curriculum.

-          Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
