Location: Chorlton-cum-Hardy

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Absence Cover
Salary: Paid in line with the teacher's payscale, reflecting experience and qualifications

About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maths Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. This full-time position begins after Easter and will cover a long-term absence. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach in a school known for its strong academic standards, inclusive ethos, and supportive working environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will play a key role in helping students develop their problem-solving, analytical, and numerical skills, inspiring a love of Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 teaching experience is advantageous but not essential).
  • Foster a supportive and stimulating learning environment where students can thrive and achieve their full potential.
  • Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Support students in developing confidence in their mathematical abilities and real-world problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths Department to develop and share resources, ensuring the delivery of a cohesive and consistent curriculum.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement, promoting a positive learning culture.
  • Participate in school activities, events, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (experience at Key Stage 5 is a plus).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics.
  • The ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
