Job description

KS2 Maths Intervention Support – Thornton – May to December 2025

Location: Thornton
Contract: Part-time/Full-time (flexible depending on availability)
Start Date: May 2025
End Date: December 2025
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Thornton, seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to deliver targeted Maths intervention support in Key Stage 2.

The Role:

  • Provide small group and 1:1 Maths intervention to KS2 pupils

  • Support children in closing attainment gaps and boosting confidence in numeracy

  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to tailor support to individual needs

  • Monitor and report progress to teaching staff and parents as appropriate

✅ The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in KS2

  • Be confident in delivering Maths interventions and adapting resources

  • Show patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for supporting pupil progress

  • Hold a relevant TA qualification or have equivalent classroom-based experience
