As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside students with autism, as well as ADHD, dyslexia, and other moderate learning difficulties. Therefore, this position is particularly important to this school. It is essential that you are able to build relationships with the pupils so that you can support them in their learning to the best of your ability.
This school is located in Manchester, and it is easily commutable from the surrounding areas of Wythenshawe, Cheadle, and Didsbury. The school is in a highly disadvantaged area, 67% of their pupils are eligible for free school meals, this is 40% higher than the national average. Currently. 31% of their student population leave year 11 with a grade 5 or above in both Maths and English.
The highlights of this position will be:
- You will have the support of Teaching Personnel, the UK’s leading Teaching Recruitment Agency.
- For the right candidate, there is the potential to be placed in a permanent teaching position, when you have become fully qualified.
- This position will be highly rewarding as you will be working with vulnerable pupils.
For this position, it is essential that you are willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, and that you can provide at least two employment-based references.
