Salary: £85 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

We are seeking enthusiastic and supportive Teaching Assistants to work in a secondary school setting in South Norwood. This rewarding role focuses on enhancing students' literacy skills, including phonics, ensuring they have the tools to succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for literacy and phonics interventions.
• Assist in developing tailored strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver engaging and effective literacy support.
• Monitor and document student progress, identifying areas for further development.
• Help foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages confidence and academic growth.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally with a focus on literacy/phonics.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with students.
• Ability to adapt to different learning environments and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Right to work in the UK.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
