Teaching Personnel have been approached by a Secondary Specialist Provision within Chorley to recruit Level 2 Teaching Assistant. The school provides alternative provision for children with Social Emotional Mental Health and have previously had a negative experience of mainstream education.

As a Teaching Assistant within this provision you will work towards establishing a supportive relationship with the children and parents concerned. Encouraging acceptance and inclusion of children with social emotional Mental Health.

Expectations

• Work in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
• Aim to remove barriers to learning.
• Manage challenging behaviours and offer techniques in order for children to deal with high pressure situations.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with both pupils and staff.
• Offer feedback to pupils.
• Reflect to the class teacher regarding pupil’s progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
