Job description
Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to work with post-16 pupils at a setting in central Southampton.
The school is a Post 16 College in central Southampton - easily reachable by car and public transport.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will:
- work closely with the class teacher to support lessons
- provide intervention with groups of students to help raise attainment
- work closely with the SENCO to support pupils with additional needs
To be successful in this role you should:
- have experience in an education or childcare setting
- be confident supporting pupils at a post 16 age range
- be confident supporting the National Curriculum, particularly for core subjects English, Maths and Science
This is a full time position to start immediately. This is initially a temporary role, fixed term for the Spring Term, however there is the potential for this to become a permanent role for the right educator!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
