Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students in a secondary school in Poole. This role involves working with students aged 11-18, including those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), to help them reach their full potential.

The Role:

• Providing tailored academic and emotional support to students, including those with SEN needs.
• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or within small groups to enhance their learning experience.
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive classroom environment.
• Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
• Monitoring student progress and offering feedback to teaching staff and parents where necessary.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN.
• A patient and compassionate approach to supporting students.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Right to work in the UK.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
