Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school located in Macclesfield seeking a proactive Learning Support Assistant to work with children who require additional learning support. As an LSA, you’ll play a key role in providing focused interventions and ensuring that children with learning challenges are supported effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist children with learning difficulties in both small group and one-on-one settings.
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and track progress.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to address the needs of each student.

What we are looking for:

Essential: Previous experience working with children with additional needs.

Desirable: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic attitude.
  • Safeguarding Training (must be done through Teaching Personnel)

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
