Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a primary school located in Macclesfield, seeking a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the development of young learners and be willing to have a positive impact on the school environment.

About the role:

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other school staff to support children who may require additional guidance with their behavioural and emotional needs. You will provide 1-1 and small group support, encouraging students to engage with the curriculum and develop positive social and emotional skills. You will play a key role in ensuring that all children feel safe, valued, and able to achieve their full potential.

  • School is in a great location with excellent transport links between Congleton, Stoke-on-Trent and Stockport
  • Opportunity to earn £85-£110 per day (dependent on experience)

What we’re looking for:

  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable, but not essential for this role
  • Experience within a primary school setting is essential for this role
  • Patience, empathy and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
  • Safeguarding training (must be done through Teaching Personnel)

To be considered for this role, applicants must have an enhanced child DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one upon registering with Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
