Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school located in Macclesfield seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their SEN department. They are looking for a confident individual who has a passion for the academic development of young students.

About the role:

  • Opportunity to earn £90- £120 per day (dependent on experience)
  • School is in a great location with excellent transport links between Congleton and Stockport
  • Opportunity for a temp-perm contract

As a behaviour support assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students with behavioural challenges, providing both 1-1 and small group assistance. This will include implementing the school’s behaviour policies, monitoring student progress and providing feedback to class teachers and carers. This role also involves creating individualised learning plans to promote positive behaviours and encourage the development of social skills and emotional regulation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable for this role
  • Experience working with students who have additional needs is essential for this role
  • Good understanding of developmental/additional needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Safeguarding training (must be done through Teaching Personnel)

To be considered for this role, applicants must have an enhanced child DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one upon registering with Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
