Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Job Duties:

• Providing support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
• Assisting teachers in the classroom with lesson preparation and delivery
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Working one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide additional support
• Assisting students with personal care and mobility, if required

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Experience working with individuals with special educational needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with individuals with special educational needs

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of different learning styles and strategies
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
• First aid certification

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily within a school setting
• Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents
• Potential for assisting with outdoor activities and school trips

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
