Position: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant

Contract: Long-term

Start Date: After October Half Term

A Primary School in the NP26 area are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support for a new pupil starting after October half term. While the pupil does not have behavioural needs, they have significant emotional needs, and we are looking for a professional who is Trauma Informed or ELSA/THRIVE trained to help support their well-being and educational journey.

Key Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for the pupil.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to address emotional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best care and educational progress.
• Support the pupil’s emotional and social development using relevant therapeutic frameworks.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience working with children with emotional needs.
• Trauma Informed, ELSA, or THRIVE training is essential.
• Patience, empathy, and a strong understanding of child development.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and families.
