Job Duties:

Supervise and care for children in a nursery setting with in a Blackpool Primary School
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities
Promote the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children
Monitor and record children's progress and behaviour
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues

Required Qualifications:

Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent
Valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one
First Aid training

Education:

Minimum of Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent

Experience:

Previous experience working in a nursery or similar setting

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of child development principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Paediatric First Aid certificate
Experience working with children with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

This role involves working with children in a nursery environment. The work may be physically demanding at times. The Nursery Nurse may be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
