Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Ardleigh

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual learning needs of each student
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and parents to support student learning
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Organisational skills and ability to maintain accurate student records

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or certification in SEN teaching
  • Experience in outreach or community-based education programmes

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, temporary position
  • Work may involve travel to different locations within the East of England (Learners homes, local libraries and schools)
  • Collaborative work environment with school staff and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
