Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Intervention Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Walton-on-Naze

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths intervention sessions for Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop individualised learning plans to support students in achieving academic goals
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student support
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and interventions

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Demonstrated proficiency in teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of UK teaching experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN interventions and strategies
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Strong grasp of the Key Stage 3 English and Maths curriculum

Working Conditions:

This position is part-time, with flexible hours based on student needs. The role may require travel to different school or learners home locations within the East of England region. The tutor will work closely with school staff and parents to provide comprehensive support to students with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
