Job Title: KS3 SEMH Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Coggeshall

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Develop individualised learning plans to support the academic and emotional growth of students
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student progress and well-being

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student requirements

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching Key Stage 3 students
  • Knowledge of SEMH strategies and interventions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs (SEN)
  • Training in behaviour management techniques

Working Conditions:

  • This is a temporary position based in Coggeshall, Essex
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Work within a supportive educational environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
