Job Title: English and Maths GCSE SEN Outreach Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Chelmsford

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide specialised tutoring in English and Maths for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at GCSE level
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support the academic progress of SEN students
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to the specific needs of each student
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a collaborative learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in teaching English and Maths at GCSE level
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in English and Maths at GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and best practises in teaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, with flexibility in scheduling
  • Work primarily in a home setting or within the community
  • Collaborative work environment with students, parents, and school staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
