Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Witham

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging English and Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 students
  • Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions
  • Develop tailored learning plans based on students' needs
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • Participate in outreach activities to promote educational programmes

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive learning materials
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the KS3 curriculum for English and Maths
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Proficient in using technology to enhance learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience in delivering outreach programmes in educational settings

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a school or learners home environment
  • Flexible hours may be required to accommodate students' schedules
  • Potential travel to different locations for outreach activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
