Job Title: English and Maths KS3 LAC Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Loughton

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 Looked After Children (LAC)
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' needs
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote academic growth
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly
  • Communicate effectively with students, caregivers, and relevant stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience working with Looked After Children (LAC)
  • Enhanced DBS check

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK Key Stage 3 curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Organisational skills to track student progress effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialist training in supporting Looked After Children
  • Experience in delivering online tutoring

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work location may vary based on student needs
  • Opportunity for remote or in-person tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
