Job Advertisement: Experienced KS1 Teacher (Year 2)
Location: East Side of Southampton
Position: Full-time, Temporary (Easter – End of Summer Term)
Start Date: Easter 2025
A primary school on the east side of Southampton is seeking an experienced Key Stage 1 teacher to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 2 class from Easter until the end of the summer term.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a vibrant school community, providing high-quality education for young learners. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons that engage and inspire students, supporting their academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class.
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supporting the social and emotional development of all pupils.
- Communicating with parents and staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a KS1 teacher, with a focus on Year 2.
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for early education.
- Ability to plan and deliver a balanced and engaging curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Please note that ECTs cannot be considered for this role; however, there are other positions available within the school for ECTs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
