Job description

Are you an experienced SEN tutor who can teach core academic subjects, based in Tilbury? Then TP Tutors want to hear from you!

TP Tutors are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN tutor in Tilbury, to work with KS2 pupils with SEN needs, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH and Global Development Delay in core academic subjects (English/ Maths and Science).

Tuition is scheduled to take place in the pupil’s personal home, within school hours.

About the role:

  • The role is based in Basildon, and tutoring will take place in the pupil’s home or public venue like a library.
  • Providing 1:1 support in core subjects (Maths, English and Science)
  • Planning individualised programmes of learning
  • Write weekly reports on the pupil’s progress
  • Liaise with pupils’ parents
  • Provide social and emotional support

What you will need:

  • An up-to-date DBS registered on the Update Service (we can help you apply for this)
  • Right to work in the UK documents.
  • Have some experience working with young people with SEN (essential)
  • Flexible and adaptable to be able to differentiate effectively to provide an inclusive education for all

What we offer:

  • As a 1:1 tutor, you’ll receive an hourly rate of up to £30 p/h

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
