Year 2 Teaching Assistant

  • Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour
  • Start Date: January 2025

The School

A highly regarded primary school in Liverpool City Centre is seeking to appoint a General Teaching Assistant to start in January 2025.

This school enjoys an excellent reputation within the local community and has been rated ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted. It is committed to creating a nurturing and safe environment for its pupils, underpinned by an ambitious and inclusive curriculum that supports all children, including those with SEND. The strong relationships between staff and pupils reflect the school’s welcoming and supportive ethos. With only 200 pupils, the school fosters a close-knit and friendly atmosphere.

The Role

As a General Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support and guide the learning of pupils across the Year 2 class.
  • Assist the class teacher with the general management and supervision of the classroom.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate, enthusiastic, and eager to work with children. It offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and gain valuable teaching experience.

Desired Experience

  • Previous experience working in KS1 (Key Stage 1).
  • Knowledge of or experience teaching phonics (advantageous but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
