Position: Key Stage 1&2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Cwmbran/Newport
Hours: Full-Time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and sporty Key Stage 1&2 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community. If you have a knack for fostering active and engaging learning environments, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Key Stage 1 and/or 2 teacher in delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum.
• Encourage and facilitate a range of sports activities, promoting health, fitness, and teamwork.
• Provide one-on-one or group support to help children reach their full potential academically and physically.
• Aid in supervising playground activities, helping to make break times safe and engaging.
• Contribute to classroom management and assist in preparing resources for daily lessons.
• Be a positive role model, fostering a love for learning and physical activity among students.

About You:

• Passion for sports and fitness, with the ability to engage and motivate children in physical activities.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, energetic attitude.
• Ability to build supportive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A team player who can work collaboratively to create a stimulating learning environment.
• Any relevant qualifications in education or sports are advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
