Teaching Assistant – Team Teach Trained
Location: Cwmbran
Pay: £90 per day
⏳ Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: April 2025
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge? Do you have Team Teach training and a passion for supporting children with complex needs?
We are working with a primary school in Cwmbran that requires a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of behavioural and additional learning needs (ALN), including non-verbal communication and complex regulation difficulties.
What You'll Be Doing:
✔ Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions
✔ Assisting children with behavioural, emotional, and social needs
✔ Using positive reinforcement strategies to encourage engagement
✔ Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning plans
✔ Supporting non-verbal pupils using communication aids and strategies
What You Need to Apply:
✅ Team Teach training (essential)
✅ Experience supporting children with ALN and behavioural needs
✅ A positive, patient, and proactive approach
✅ The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
